The Royal Air Force took on the British Army and Royal Navy yesterday, Sunday 25 Feb in the Inter Services Orienteering Championships. Held in Burnham Beeches and kindly hosted at a Hertfordshire Orienteering event. This was a pleasant but technically and physically challenging area of mature and runnable woodland. On the day, the Army Orienteering team dominated both the men’s and ladies’ event run over a 12.8km and 7.5km course respectively – congratulations to both their teams.

The IS Champs also acts as selection for the Armed Forces UK team and we’re proud to announce a bumper crop of four #RAFOrienteers making the cut. Best of luck to Richard, David, Philip and Karen for their call-up and a safe journey from the start box to the last control in competition against the British Universities next weekend!

Orienteering is a recognised sport in the Royal Air Force, made possible with the support of the RAF Sports Federation, RAF Sports Lottery, HQ RAF Sport, sponsors ISS UK and our colleagues and families. #NoOrdinaryJob #NoOrdinaryRun
