The Royal Air Force Mountaineering Association (RAFMA) is the representative body for mountaineering as a sport within the RAF. It is also a lively, sociable and active mountaineering club for service personnel (including reserve forces), dependents and retired members. We are affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) – join RAFMA and get club membership of the BMC, plus handy discounts with companies such as DMM Climbing.
We have around 500 members, with serving members found all over the world and across all ranks. Some love to crush plastic indoors, others prefer walking in red socks, some do both; as well as major high-altitude expeditions and going to the pub of course.
